Why Zero Microplastics
Microplastics are small, often invisible fragments of plastic that break off from synthetic fibers during wear and wash. Most activewear and swimwear are made from materials like nylon and polyester, both of which shed thousands of particles into the water system with each rinse. These particles don’t biodegrade. Instead, they accumulate in oceans, disrupt marine ecosystems, and are now found in the air we breathe, the food we eat, and even human bloodstreams.
Despite increasing awareness, most swim brands continue to rely on these materials — often rebranded as "recycled" synthetics. But recycled polyester still sheds microplastics, still requires oil to produce, and still contributes to long-term environmental damage.
At Postcards Perfect, we’ve opted out of this cycle entirely. From the start, we committed to using no virgin synthetics and designing every swimsuit without microplastic-producing fibers. Instead, we’ve developed a material that performs to the highest technical standards without compromising on sustainability or skin health. It's not a marketing claim — it’s a material difference.

Performance Without Pollution
Our custom-developed fabric, ECOVERA, blends GOTS-certified organic cotton with 100% recycled elastane—marking a new standard for swimwear that respects the body and the environment. It delivers all the performance of a traditional synthetic without any of the microplastic fallout.
What sets ECOVERA apart:
- Zero microplastics: Contains no polyester, nylon, or synthetic blends that shed
- Primarily organic cotton: GOTS-certified, breathable, and grown without pesticides or GMOs
- Chlorine-resistant: Maintains shape and color through repeated use
- Quick-drying: Dries fast post-swim—no cling, no wait
- UV-protective: Naturally blocks harmful rays without chemical coatings
- Exceptionally soft: Smooth and supportive against the skin
- Anti-irritating: Cotton fibers reduce friction and discomfort during wear
- Breathable and sculpting: Holds its shape while allowing airflow
- Long-wearing: Designed to age beautifully, not break down
Unlike synthetic swimwear that’s built for trend cycles and sheds microplastics into every ecosystem it touches, ECOVERA is engineered for longevity—on your skin, in your closet, and across its lifecycle. It performs where it counts, and disappears when it should.

Certified Impact
Luxury should be accountable. ECOVERA is made in a closed-loop system that minimizes environmental damage at every stage. Compared to conventional cotton blends, each meter of this fabric saves:
- 5kg of CO₂ emissions
- 501 liters of water
- 2g of phosphate runoff, a contributor to ocean dead zones
The fabric’s organic cotton is grown without pesticides, synthetic fertilizer, or GMOs, and is naturally smooth and non-irritating. The regenerated elastane reduces carbon impact by two-thirds compared to virgin spandex.
Every detail of ECOVERA is certified and traceable:
- GOTS ensures organic cultivation and ethical processing
- OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 + STeP verify clean chemistry and responsible manufacturing
- ISO 14001 & ISO 9001 certify environmental and quality management
This is what sustainability looks like at a higher standard—clear, documented, and deliberately designed.

Care, Not Caution
Like all natural fibers, ECOVERA appreciates gentle care.
- Rinse after salt or chlorine exposure to preserve elasticity and color
- Hand wash cold with mild detergent; avoid fabric softeners and bleach
- Lay flat to dry in the shade—never tumble
- Store flat when possible to avoid stretching or distortion
Treat it well, and it will last season after season—without shedding a single synthetic thread.
